I know im late to this. But if you listen to their past Interviews you can kind of see why these particular members (Sooyoung, Seohyun, Tiffany) decided to leave SM, despite still going to remain a member of SNSD. They made decisions as individual humans. Sooyoung once said that if she can still sing and dance without the pressure of being a famous Idol, maybe thats better for her. Seohyun said she is the most ambitious SNSD member and already thought of her life plans and goals after SNSD. Tiffany has said that songs that she created were rejected by SM, unsure why, she thought it would be better to be her own Artist. No one really knows why Jessica left like that. And there you go. They had no real beef with SM, but they already had ideas of going to do their own thing. The other 5 (Taeyeon, Yoona, Sunny, Yuri, Hyoyeon) didnt have issues continuing with SM, SM was good to them.

I’d love to believe what she’s saying but imo SNSD as we knew them are done. SM entertainment created the band and they own all their masters. If they were to get together again it won’t be as SNSD anymore, but as Taeyeon feat. Tiffany Young feat. Seohyun etc. and you can count on good old SM to make it extremely difficult for them to appear on TV (just like what they did to *JESSICA*) unless they re-sign their contracts with the company.
